There was a little girl who walked to and from school every day. One day,
though the weather that morning was questionable and clouds were forming,
she set out on her daily trek to the elementary school.

As the afternoon progressed, the winds whipped up, along with thunder and
lightning. Her mother was concerned that her daughter would be frightened as
she walked home from school and she herself feared that the electrical storm
might harm her child.

The Park Bench

The park bench was deserted as I sat down to read Beneath the long, straggly
branches of an old willow tree. Disillusioned by life with good reason to
frown, For the world was intent on dragging me down.

And if that weren’t enough to ruin my day, A young boy out of breath
approached me, all tired from play. He stood right before me with his head
tilted down And said with great excitement, “Look what I found!”
